For more than 30 years, Tara focused her career on helping organizations and communities grow, thrive, and reach their full potential. Throughout her work in the corporate/nonprofit sector, she led large teams through successful strategies to create meaningful spaces that were built around a creative vision, but always with intention and functionality in mind; whether it be a community, a workplace, or a home.
That same philosophy inspired the re-creation of Platypus Home.
Tara, along with her husband Matt who is the owner of Kelly Builders and Developers, brings a unique perspective to the business. She blends her strength in building relationships with her talent to create functional spaces and applies this to every aspect of Platypus Home. Her intention is not just to simply furnish homes, but to help clients create an environment that reflects who they are, supports how they live, and enhances every stage of life.
Platypus Home represents the belief that great design should be approachable, personal, and accessible. Whether through in-home design services, curated furnishings, custom selections, or complete home transformations, the team is committed to helping every client bring their vision to life.
